The Parsons built their home adjacent to the Toomers in Berlin. They were very active in church and taught children recitations and songs for quartets and choirs. At Pilgrim Rest Disciples of Christ, Uncle Lewis became an ordained Deacon and Minister in later years. Aunt Ida served as Church Mother.  They were the parents of three children; all of whom died in infancy.
