 Ron
ran through the record books at Wisconsin and the NCAA Division I.
At Wisconsin, Ron set new records for the most yards rushing
(1,863) in a season, the most yards rushing (339) in a game, and the
most yards rushing (250) in a half.
Ron surpassed Herschel Walker to set a new NCAA Division I
all-time Freshman rushing record. He
also set a new Division I record with the most 200 yard games (4) by a
freshman in one season and also Associated Press Player of the Year and
two-time MVP of the Rose Bowl. Ron
topped off his college career by achieving the highest honor in college
football, The 1999 Heisman Trophy Award.
